Quartz on Hematite – Frizington Mine (2025 Collection)
Collected in 2025 from the historic Frizington Mine in Cumbria, this British mineral features delicate quartz crystals resting on a hematite base. The quartz displays natural rust-coloured staining caused by fine hematite coatings, adding warm earthy tones and character to the piece. The striking contrast between the clear to milky quartz and dark metallic hematite makes this a classic and authentic example from a renowned UK mining locality. Sourced directly from the field collector, it is a fine addition to any mineral collection.
